Real Madrid icons get back together in heart-warming Christmas photos... and they've got their twin sister wives to thank for the festive reunion!

Dani Carvajal and Joselu might have thought they were seeing the last of one another when the latter traded Real Madrid for Qatari outfit Al-Gharafa over the summer. But as the footballing stars settled down for their Christmas dinners this year, they spotted a familiar face from across the dining table.

It turns out the pair just cannot leave each other's orbit, after they both married one half of a set of twins. Carvajal tied the knot with wedding company entrepreneur Daphne Canizares in 2022 - the same year that he lifted his fifth Champions League trophy for Los Blancos.

Six years earlier, Joselu had married Daphne's twin sister Melanie, who works as a flight attendant. And this Christmas was a family affair, as the couples posted pictures to Instagram of the festive celebrations which brought the two Real icons back together.

On the 25th, Joselu and Melanie released a joint post to their followers of the heart-warming reunion. In the first picture, the couple are looking loved up as they pose in front a beautiful Christmas tree. Carvajal and Daphne appear in the next photo and the final one shows the original pair sharing a kiss.
