Daniel Halliwell, 35, reached dangerously high speeds as he drove his grey Ferrari across Runcorn in Cheshire, before crashing into a Ford Fiesta at a junction on the A558 on 21 July, 2023.
A three-week old baby, travelling in the Fiesta, was left with life-changing injuries. Halliwell, of Hatters Close, Daresbury, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving when he appeared in court on Tuesday (21 January). He was sentenced to 32 months in prison, and disqualified from driving for five years.
