An old interview with Paris Fury has resurfaced amid her husband, Tyson, deciding to retire from boxing. Fury took to social media to share the news with his followers, as he claimed that he was hanging up his gloves for good in a 'short and sweet' statement.

The announcement comes after he suffered back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, with the latest coming as a unanimous decision loss back in December. Now, in the wake of Fury's announcement, an old interview with his wife Paris has emerged that shows her true feelings on the decision.

As reported by talkSPORT, speaking before Fury's win over Francis Ngannou in October 2023, she said: 'I wanted him to retire a few years ago. He isn't doing it. 'You saw it well documented on the [Netflix] documentary that he didn't enjoy it. He doesn't like being retired.

Tyson Fury shocked fans by announcing his retirement from boxing on Monday afternoon. An old interview with Paris Fury (right) has since reemerged in the wake of his news. 'But I'm hoping after Usyk that's the end of the fight. I'm hoping that's the end of it. What more could he prove? What more can he do?'.

The Gypsy King, 36, revealed the shock news in a video to his fans on Monday afternoon. 'Hi everybody, I'm going to make this short and sweet,' he said in a clip he shared to social media. 'I'd like to announce my retirement from boxing. It's been a blast, I've loved every single minute of it.
