Robbie Williams on brink of making UK chart history after film biopic Better Man bombs at box office

WITH 13 solo Brits, Robbie Williams is the biggest winner in their history. Now Rob, has his sights on another record. The soundtrack to his biopic Better Man is about to top the album charts, which would overtake the Rolling Stones as the act with the second-most No1 albums, at 15 – one less than The Beatles.

It’s been a bumper few months for Robbie. The Rock DJ singer released his biopic Better Man on Boxing Day which has been lauded by critics. The film, headed up by The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey, has been nominated for an Oscar and a Bafta as well as a Golden Globe.

Meanwhile, this summer Rob will play his biggest UK tour in years. The singer has announced two huge stadium gigs in London as well as shows in Manchester. Robbie will also perform a new track at this year’s Fifa Club World Cup in the States later this year.

Adding another string to his bow, alongside his music Robbie working on building a luxury hotel in Dubai. SIAN WELBY had the honour of announcing the award nominations last night. And it gave the Capital Breakfast DJ the chance to discover artists who weren’t on her radar.

Sian told us: “I was a bit slow finding her but Rachel ChinouririI is like Kate Nash and Lily Allen but more modern. The Last Dinner Party too – their producer did all the Arctic Monkeys songs. “It’s such a great British vibe.”. Sian can’t wait to let her hair down on the night itself now that the ceremony is on a Saturday.
