Robbie Williams will be performing a free concert in Melbourne on Thursday, to promote his newly released biopic Better Man which was filmed in Victoria. The English pop star, 50, will be belting out his best known hits at Federation Square from 5pm at an all-ages show, in an event hosted by iHeartLIVE and GOLD104.3.
Williams will also have a chat with radio star Craig Huggins about his new movie and host a meet and greet for some lucky fans, ahead of a screening of the film. The former Take That star revealed in a statement he was thrilled to celebrate the New Year in Australia, which is one of his most successful markets.
'To be ringing in the New Year in the country where my biopic movie, Better Man, was shot will be the perfect end to 2024 and the ideal start to 2025,' Williams said. 'I can't wait to perform and celebrate with my incredible Australian fans.'. The movie Better Man was filmed across Melbourne in 2022 in collaboration with VicScreen, and injected millions of dollars into the local economy. It comes after Williams took a not-so-subtle potshot at an audience member during his Sydney New Year's Eve performance.
