RUBEN AMORIM and Marcus Rashford are reportedly no longer on speaking terms. The Manchester United forward has not played for Amorim since mid-December. Rashford, 27, is keen to leave Old Trafford this month as he admitted he is ready for a "new challenge".

However, he has not had a chance to put himself in the shop window as Amorim, 40, has refused to play him. The Portuguese manager even claimed that 63-year-old goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital would be more deserving of a place in the squad. Amorim hit out at Rashford's training and insisted that if "things don't change", then he will not.

The relationship between the manager and player is now reportedly at an all-time low. The Guardian has claimed that the pair are not on speaking terms anymore. The report claims that the only time Amorim will address Rashford is when he is speaking to the squad as a whole.

Rashford does appear to have a clear preference and is willing to drop his wages to force through a move to Barcelona. Meanwhile, club legend Paul Scholes addressed the ongoing drama and criticised the England international's attitude as he "let a lot of people down".
