Ruben Amorim offered dream scenario as Man Utd approached over swap deal

Manchester United have been offered the chance to swap Joshua Zirkzee for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this month. Zirkzee, 23, has endured a difficult start to life in the Premier League since joining United from Bologna back in the summer. But the £36million striker's struggles hasn't deterred interest from clubs in Serie A who are keen to bring him back to Italy.
Juventus are one of said suitors who haven't been put off by Zirkzee's poor form in front of goal - and they're even willing to offer up Vlahovic as a makeweight. That's according to talkSPORT, who say Juventus would part ways with the long-term Arsenal target in order to land Zirkzee in the January transfer window.
Vlahovic, 24, has just 18 months left to run on the contract he signed after moving to Turin for £67million back in 2022. And with no sign of a contract extension on the horizon, the Italian giants have been thinking outside the box for ways they can benefit from the Serbia international's potential exit.
It's said the swap proposal has already been put forward to United, who will have to wheel and deal to provide new head coach, Ruben Amorim, with signings this month. And it could appeal to Amorim and co given the Red Devils have found goals hard to come by this season in the Premier League. There have been no such issues for Vlahovic, who is Juve's top scorer this season with 12 goals already.

A portion of fans cheered when the misfiring striker was substituted just half an hour into the 2-0 loss to Newcastle to cap his miserable start to life at the club.
