The Bulls said : "Following today's West Yorkshire Police statement, the Bradford Bulls have cancelled Keven Appo's playing contract.

Keven Appo was due to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court today but has returned to his native Papua New Guinea.

Appo plays internationally for Papua New Guinea and represented the team in the 2022 Rugby League World Cup.

UK authorities are now working with police in the country to bring Appo back to face court, JPs heard.
