Mohamed Salah has said he wants to go out on a high by winning a second Premier League title, as he again suggested it's his final season at Liverpool. Negotiations over a new contract for the Egyptian star have been going on for months without any breakthrough.
Salah, 32, told Sky Sports' Patrick Davison he wants to achieve "something special" this year. "The first thing that was on the list was to win the Premier League with Liverpool," he said. "In my interviews over the last seven or eight years, I always say [I want to win the] Champions League. But this is the first time I'm saying I really want to win the Premier League with Liverpool.".
Salah has been in imperious form, topping the league for goals (17) and assists (13) this season. However, after Sunday's 5-0 thrashing of West Ham, he told Sky Sports a deal to stay at Liverpool was still "far away".
