A HOLLYWOOD icon has stepped out in LA looking a world away from some of her glamorous roles, despite her legendary status. The actress is known for many film roles, but one of her standout characters was in a fan favourite film from the 1980s. The actress has been in films since the 1970s, boasting an impressive 272 acting credits to her name ranging from drama series, iconic cop show Starsky & Hutch and arguably her most famous role in 1982 film E.T. The Extra-Terristrial.
Actress Dee Wallace is now in her 70s and kept a low profile as she walked her dog in a quiet neighbourhood of Los Angeles. Dressed in a simple grey sweatshirt with cream sweatpants, the award winning actress looks unrecognisable from one of her best known film roles as single mother Mary Taylor in E.T.
The actress' blonde hair has been cut into a flattering pixie cut and she went makeup free, wearing dark sunglasses hiding her face. Dee, who has been Emmy nominated and also produces as well as acts, was previously a high school drama teacher before she stepped out in film and TV roles.
Her initial start in acting included small roles in TV series including The Streets Of San Francisco, Ellery Queen, Police Woman and Hart To Hart. In 1975 she moved into films with a role in The Stepford Wives, alongside Katharine Ross, Paula Prentiss, Peter Masterson and Nanette Newman.
