Shaun Murphy shows true colours with message to Ronnie O'Sullivan after Masters withdrawal Shaun Murphy has spoken out in support of Ronnie O’Sullivan after the Rocket’s late withdrawal from the Masters.
However, amid concerns over his wellbeing following his behaviour at the Championship League, Murphy showed his true colours by expressing his sympathy for the seven-time world champion and the pressure he faces.
His withdrawal, on medical grounds, came a day after he quit the Championship League before his final scheduled group match.
He is then rumoured to have dumped the cue in a bin before withdrawing from the tournament and leaving the Leicester venue before his final group match against Ali Carter.
While leading Robert Milkins 2-1, O'Sullivan lost it after missing a simple pink to a corner pocket, smashing his cue on the table before going on to lose 3-2.
