A pupil at a school in Sheffield has revealed the chilling moment students begged teachers for help after a 15-year-old was knifed to death. Harvey Willgoose was at All Saints Catholic High School on Monday afternoon when he sustained "serious injuries" following a horror knife attack. One student, who was in another lesson at the time, has revealed the moment he heard fellow pupils shout for help following the attack.

One student said: “I went outside and heard two or three Year 11s shouting: ‘Someone got stabbed, come here’ to a teacher. So then I went outside to see what was going on and I saw a body on the floor.". Another pupil told ITV: "It doesn't feel real, it feels like America, but this is Sheffield, this is crazy." Emergency services rushed to the school, which was placed on lockdown, and an air ambulance was seen landing at the grounds. Harvey was taken to hospital but despite efforts to save the schoolboy he tragically died from his injuries just before 4pm. A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to South Yorkshire Police.

A teacher left a bouquet of roses at the scene this morning alongside a touching note. It read: “RIP Harvey. I only taught you a few times in Year 7, but I remember you well. Despite being occasionally a little too energetic you were always polite and friendly. I’m so sorry that this has happened.” It was signed Mr John Bishop. Pupils at the school have been offered counselling. Emotional tributes are being paid to the 15-year-old stabbed to death at his high school yesterday. Posting an image of Harvey on Facebook with a photo, Lisa Clement wrote: 'This is my favourite picture I have of him, it says it all blades shorts Magpies’s top and a cheeky grin.'.

Neighbouring the pleasant cul de sac where Harvey lived were 'in total shock’. A resident paying her respects beside a shrine of flowers and candies outside the family home said: "He went to school this morning and has not come home.". “He always seemed to have a smile on his face. So sad.” Another neighbour said: "Harvey and his dad were huge Sheffield United fans. “It is just too awful for words.” Classmates of the teenage boy stabbed to death also paid tribute. Flowers, balloons, an England flag and a card were left in tribute to the teen outside his school, which is closed today out of respect.

A card left at the scene reads: "My deepest condolences go out to you all.” Knife crime campaigner Anthony Olaseinde said he had worked with All Saints and its pupils had put together a video warning of the dangers of carrying knives. He said: “We have been having the same conversation about knives for six years, and we’ve been doing all we can with engagement with young people and taking knives off the streets.

"Some schools shy away from the issues, but we have done projects with All Saints, and they have always got involved with us. We worked with them on a video to support awareness with All Saints. They have always been forthcoming on the issue, and we made a knife crime awareness video with them last year.”. Assistant Chief Constable Lindsey Butterfield, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the boy who has sadly lost his life, his friends and the whole school community. We know that what has happened will cause significant distress and concern and our officers will remain on scene and in the local area to offer reassurance to parents, staff and local residents as our investigation continues. Although we are in the early stages of our enquiries, we are working at pace to build up a full picture of how this tragedy unfolded. We urge anyone with information that would assist us to get in touch.”.

Police have urged anyone with information that could assist their investigation to call 101 quoting incident number 327 of February 3 2025.
