Shocking moment Amen Thompson slams Tyler Herro to the floor in Heat-Rockets game before melee breaks out

A simple tie-up between Amen Thompson and Tyler Herro quickly escalated into an all-out melee between the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets on Sunday night, as six people in total were ejected from the contest. It all started with under a minute left in the game with Miami up five points on Houston and about to inbound the ball.
Herro was lined up as the first option to receive the ball, while Thompson was guarding him closely. Thompson hooked Herro's arm in a way that would have been called a foul before the play began, with the Heat star not taking kindly to the physical contact.
Herro and Thompson grab each other's jerseys and just as security, fellow players, and coaches are about to separate the two, Thompson slams Herro to the hardwood floor. A mass confrontation broke out with the squads being separated quickly, but not before Thompson and Herro exchange words while being restrained.

Herro, Thompson, two Rockets coaches, including head coach Ime Udoka, Jalen Green, and Terry Rozier were all ejected from the game. Thompson, and possibly Herro, will receive supplemental discipline from the incident. Any mass confrontation gets an automatic look from league leadership for possible discipline.
