A group of angry Manchester United supporters confronted part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe over his decision to raise ticket prices to £66. Ratcliffe, 72, was in west London for United's much-needed 1-0 win away to Fulham on Sunday and had been subject to chants likening him to the club's unpopular majority owners, the Glazer family. Manchester-born Ratcliffe, who owns 28.94 per cent of the Premier League giants, has received flack for a series of cost-cutting decisions made in recent months.

But the removal of concessions by raising ticket prices to a blanket £66 at home games has been without doubt the most controversial change. "Just like the Glazers, Jim Ratcliffe's a c***" and "£66, taking the p*** again" were both chanted from the away end at Craven Cottage, and supporters weren't done after full-time.

In a video posted on X, Ratcliffe could be see in the back of a car while fans told him "66 f***ing quid, you're taking the p***". The founder and chairman of petrochemicals company INEOS wound the window down, telling them the group: "Get your photograph, guys," and put his thumb up.

Ratcliffe then become aware of the situation, as the supporters continued. "What are you doing, mate?" one asked. "We're locals. Come on, sort it out.". "Oh, come on," the 72-year-old appeared to say, putting his window back up. That didn't stop the fans as Ratcliffe's vehicle remained stationary. "You're worse than the Glazers" he was told. "We pay triple their fans, our prices should be a third of Fulham's.".
