Sir Rod Stewart set to be joined on stage at Glastonbury by legendary rock star IT emerged last week that my fave rock legends The Rolling Stones have shelved plans to tour this summer – but I can reveal that Ronnie Wood will still be hitting the stage.
Rod confirmed his Pyramid Stage gig on social media last year, writing: “After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury.”.
A festival source said: “Rod is really excited about his big Worthy Farm gig and wanted to give a nod to the beginning of his career, so thought it would be fitting to bring out Ronnie.
The old friends were last snapped together celebrating Rod’s 80th birthday last month in Mayfair, London.
The guitarist will join pal Sir Rod Stewart on stage at Glastonbury in June.
