Snoop Dogg inadvertently offended his 'nephew' Kendrick Lamar after he posted his rival Drake's diss track Taylor Made Freestyle to his Instagram. Now Snoop has revealed how he privately reached out to Kendrick to apologize for the misunderstanding. During an interview with Bootleg Kev, Snoop, who previously declared Kendrick the 'King of the West', revealed he called the Not Like Us artist, 37, to apologize and left a message conceding he was 'f**ked up.'.
'That’s my nephew, man. He’s a rapper, he’s supposed to speak his mind and tell his truth. That’s the way he felt, you know what I'm saying? And he has the right to say that. 'I’m his big homeboy so I have to take what’s given to me from his perspective because he's speaking truth. And the truth shouldn’t hurt you, it should make you better... I’m one to accept truth when it’s brought to me directly.'.

Taylor Made Freestyle takes aim at Kendrick features AI-generated vocals of Snoop and was attached to a post plugging Snoop's line of cocktails, Gin and Juice. Snoop shared the post to his Instagram but was unaware that it was set to the diss track until it was too late.
