Starving dog found 'too weak to stand' ready for Christmas with new owners A starving dog was found so badly malnourished that it could no longer stand.
RSPCA Inspector Leanna Hone said: "She was completely emaciated and malnourished, unable to stand unaided and incredibly weak.
The dog had been brought into a veterinary surgery in a starved and emaciated state just weeks before Christmas in December 2021.
Vets discovered the collapsed dog in such a bad state that they were left heartbroken.
Now three years on, she is thriving thanks to her new owners - and is set to have a magical Christmas in 2024.
