Stephen Merchant made a cheeky joke about MasterChef star Gregg Wallace amid his sexual misconduct investigation during Gavin & Stacey star Rob Brydon's festive live show on Monday night. The comedian and actor, 50, joined Uncle Bryn actor Rob for his show Rob Brydon & His Fabulous Band: A Festive Night Of Songs & Laughter at London's Lyceum Theatre.
During one part of the show Rob, 59, was speaking about having an MBE to Stephen to which he replied: 'You and Gregg Wallace have that in common!'. Gregg, 60, has stepped away from BBC show MasterChef after 13 people, including Newsnight host Kirsty Wark, accused him of 'wrong' and inappropriate 'sexualised' behaviour during filming.
The claims are across a 17-year period and include those of inappropriate behaviour, including roaming around on set naked with a sock on his penis, inappropriate jokes and two claims of groping crew members. Gregg was awarded his MBE in 2022 for services to food, broadcasting and charity.

Stephen was joined on stage by fellow comedian David Walliams with the pair walking onto stage to the song Merry Christmas Everyone.
Elsewhere during the show Rob left fans in awe as he brought out a Gavin and Stacey star for an on-stage duet during his Christmas stage show. The star stepped it up a gear when he later introduced Ruth Jones, 58, who came out in character as the hilarious Nessa Jenkins - much to the delight of the surprised audience.
