Strictly Come Dancing's Gorka Marquez reunites with Gemma and kids after working away

Professional dancer Gorka Márquez has reunited with his fiancée Gemma Atkinson and their two children after being at the Strictly Come Dancing final on the weekend. Gorka, 34, had been away from his family, who live together in Manchester, for the final on Saturday night, which was filmed at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood near London. He has since returned home, where he reunited with radio host Gemma, 40, and their two kids Mia, five, and Thiago, one.
Gemma - who met Gorka when she competed on the BBC show herself back in 2017 - shared a photo of her fiancé cuddled up with their kids on a sofa. She included John Whiteleather & the King Rats' song Daddys Home in the post that she shared with her followers on Instagram on Sunday night. She wrote in the caption: "Exhausted, but reunited.".
Gorka later shared the post on his Instagram Story too. The dancer spent much time away from Gemma and their kids over the course of Strictly's latest series, which has now ended, though had still seen his family on several occasions. Gemma has previously spoken about sometimes being apart due to Gorka's career. She told Closer magazine just last month that they are "used" to periods of having a long-distance relationship, particularly due to his role on Strictly. She said that ten weeks is "nothing" compared to the time that some couples end up being apart.
She even suggested to the outlet that she "wouldn't be able to cope" if they had any more children due to Gorka working away "a lot" as she would be on her own with three kids. She teased that it would be a "nightmare" with three children and said the family are "really lucky" as they are.
