Strictly winner Chris McCausland missed his appearance on Capital Breakfast on Wednesday morning. The comedian, 47, was expected to join Lee Mack in the studios but failed to turn up after getting caught in traffic. After a while of waiting for the funnyman to arrive, radio hosts Jordan North and Sian Welby announced he wouldn't be joining.
Comedian Lee joked: 'It is possible his strictly win has gone to his head and he feels he can do what he likes.'. Later in the chat, Lee said he was overjoyed that Chris was crowned the winner of the 2024 Strictly competition. He said: 'I got very little time to talk to him on Saturday because everyone was hugging him and I haven't spoke to him since!.

'[It's] Incredible. I was looking at the old texts this morning because he [Chris] was texting me at the time asking if he should do it. 'I've realised the preconceptions about his disability, especially him being blind, but the more time I have spent with him, there have genuinely been times where I have forgotten he is blind.'.
Chris is reportedly set to rake in a whopping £1M following last week's nail-biting finale. He was crowned champion during the live final on Saturday, alongside partner Dianne Buswell after beating fellow finalists Tasha Ghouri, JB Gill and Sarah Hadland.
