Tennessee Titans drop major hint on they will choose with the first pick of the 2025 NFL Draft

It sure sounds like the Tennessee Titans will not address their major need at quarterback with the first overall selection in April's NFL Draft. Titans President of Football Operations Chad Brinker dropped a major hint that Tennessee will select Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter first overall.
Brinker made the prediction at the introductory press conference for new general manager Mike Borgonzi on Wednesday, saying, 'We won’t pass on a generational talent with the first pick in the NFL Draft.'. Hunter is viewed as a generational, two-way talent in this draft class, and is the consensus top-rated player this year.
While most NFL teams would be delighted to bring in someone of Hunter's quality, the Titans were expected to choose a quarterback with the top overall pick. Evidenced by the success of the Washington Commanders, who drafted Jayden Daniels No 2 overall last year and has spurned their run to the NFC Championship Game, every team knows winning in the NFL is impossible without a solid quarterback.
Travis Hunter could be drafted first overall in April's NFL Draft, with the Titans having that pick. Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan might not have a rookie quarterback after all. Tennessee has now shown long-term confidence in Will Levis, who was the team's starter for most of this season, before being benched for backup Mason Rudolph.
Hunter's Colorado teammate, Shedeur Sanders, and Miami quarterback Cam Ward are thought to be the top-two signal callers in the draft. The Titans were linked with choosing one of those two men to revamp their offense. Neither has been described as a generational talent.
