THE CHIC LIST: Seven stylish ways to hunker down for Christmas

Is there a better feeling after a busy day than opening your front door, lighting a Christmas candle (my favourite this year is Fir by Trudon, the scent of which evokes all the festive feels), unclasping and flinging off your bra and crawling into some cosy PJs or loungewear?.

Jumper, Soft Goat, dress, Loulou Studio, Bag, Saint Laurent, boots, Khaite. Christmas Day is almost here and hopefully you’re looking forward to hunkering down with loved ones over the holidays. I’m finding that after weeks of sequins, Christmas drinks and parties, my thoughts are turning to off-duty things like dreamy silk PJs, cashmere knits, soft loungewear, long baths and face masks, books I’m going to read and movies I plan to watch.

Alternatively, these extremely soft and more budget-friendly red jersey options from Eberjey don’t disappoint. Eye mask, £25, elizabethscarlett.com. For some decent shuteye over the festive period, invest in a glamorous eye mask. Perfect for grabbing a snooze, too, if you are travelling over the holidays. I love Elizabeth Scarlett’s heavens-inspired pieces and this Celestial eye mask says: ‘Expensive, please do not disturb!’.

I always divide Christmas Day into two outfits. I put on the glamorous one after breakfast and wear it until after Christmas dinner. I’m planning on trying the red brushed cashmere knit by Soft Goat that I’m wearing here with a long velvet maxi skirt, 20 deniers and some glamorous earrings.
