Meg Bellamy is best-known for her role as Kate Middleton in Netflix hit The Crown, in which she caught the eye of fellow St Andrews student Prince William. But in her real life, the actress, 22, has seen a shake-up in her own love life and has split from her long-term boyfriend Connor Dutton, 27. The Daily Mail's Richard Eden revealed that Meg went her separate ways from her partner Connor just before Christmas.

He introduced himself simply as 'Max' at the event, and all Meg said about her appearance with him was: 'We're having a wonderful night.'. Meg and her now-ex-boyfriend Connor kept their romance relatively low-key, but he heaped praise on her when she secured the role of Kate Middleton on The Crown.

Meg Bellamy has seen a big change in her love life and has split from her long-term boyfriend Connor Dutton (both pictured), 27. She is already enjoying a passionate romance with a new man, who joined her at the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star Party at Pavyllon London this week, introducing himself as 'Max' (both pictured). At the time, he gushed over his 'gorgeously talented girlfriend', writing on social media: 'I'm so proud of you baby,' to which she replied: 'I love you so much.'.

Introducing himself simply as 'Max', he joined her at the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star Party at Pavyllon London this week. 'We're having a wonderful night,' is all Meg would say. The pair both previously worked at Legoland Windsor in Meg's home county, and Connor is now an acrobat and film crew member. Meg was a complete unknown before she auditioned for The Crown, sending off a self-taped audition after producers put out an open casting call for the role.

The Berkshire-born actress played Kate during her years at St Andrews University between 2001 and 2005 alongside Ed McVey as Prince William. In real life, William and Kate, who married in Westminster Abbey in 2011, met at St Andrews University during their time as students there. Though she entered the public eye as Kate on The Crown, Meg has admitted she is unsure about soaring to the levels of fame of other Hollywood elite actors.

Speaking to Mail+, she recalled watching the attention actresses Anya Taylor-Joy, Jennifer Lawrence, Jenna Ortega and Rachel Zegler got when they arrived at a Paris fashion show at the same time. 'I feel so different [to them]. I'm sure they're all human beings but it was crazy watching the world react to them,' she said.
