After The Jam, Rick formed Time UK with Jimmy Edwards, Ray Simone, Danny Kustow, and the bassist Nick South.
After years away from music, in 2005 he set up a new band, The Gift, named after The Jam’s final album, initially with Russell Hastings (lead vocals/guitar) and Dave Moore (Bass).
Between 1977 and 1982 The Jam had 18 consecutive UK Top 40 singles, including four number 1 hits, and were in part responsible for the mod revival movement in the UK.
The latter collection also contained tracks Rick has recorded with Bruce Foxton and Edwards under the name of Sharp.
THE Jam drummer Rick Buckler has died at the aged of 69 after a short illness.
