Patrick Dorgu will be suspended for three games after being shown a straight red card during Manchester United’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Ipswich.
Dorgu’s red card means he will be forced to miss United’s next three matches in domestic competitions, starting with the club’s FA Cup fifth-round tie against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
The former Lecce defender will be given the green light to play again in the Premier League when United travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest on April 1.
United had hauled themselves back into the driving seat when Dorgu was given his marching orders, with Matthijs de Ligt hitting the target after Ipswich captain Sam Morsy directed the ball into his own net.
