Other things that make teenagers cringe when it comes to their mum and dad include their parent kissing them in front of their friends, adding their mates on social media and borrowing their kids' clothes.
A quarter of parents said they knew their teenage children deem them uncool, with 95% also agreeing that youngsters aged between 13 and 19 are regularly embarrassed by their mum and dad.
