As Friday night’s finale of The Traitors looms, the odds have drastically shifted for one player, making for a nail-biting conclusion to the intense competition. Charlotte Berman, once the favourite to win, now finds herself at the top of the banishment list with odds of 1/2 after Frankie Rowan-Plowden was granted a special power to unveil the identity of who she thought was her closest ally.
During Thursday night’s episode presenter Claudia Winkleman informed the contestants that the person with the most gold at the end of the day’s challenges would become a “seer”. Before the “seer” was revealed, Freddie Fraser was banished from the castle after the faithfuls, and traitor Charlotte, voted him out of the game. In the morning the faithfuls discovered at breakfast that the traitors had attempted to murder Leanne Quigley.
In the episode prior Charlotte had decided to recruit Freddie as a traitor and convinced him that they should murder Leanne despite knowing she had a shield protecting her. The only contestants who did not know that Leanne had a shield were Freddie and Alexander Dragonetti, meaning the faithfuls began to suspect the two.
In their penultimate mission the players were welcomed to the woods where they revisited some of the missions they had completed and were also faced with two new challenges. After the challenges Winkleman welcomed the contestants to the roundtable and asked them to each say “I am a faithful” before beginning discussions.
