The Travelling Auctioneers is back on our screens, but who is the new auctioneer James "JB" Broad?. The show sees the team travelling around the country in their iconic little blue van, discovering, restoring, and selling items that might otherwise be overlooked.
The third series of the BBC daytime show has a fresh look, with four new faces joining the team, including two restorers and two auctioneers. One of these new additions is auctions expert James "JB" Broad. Here's everything you need to know about The Travelling Auctioneers' latest recruit.
JB was raised in the Cheshire countryside with his "small but amazing family". He developed a love for all things antique at the tender age of 12. His passion only grew as he aged, and JB now holds the position of manager and auctioneer at Whittaker and Biggs in Cheshire. Here, he takes to the rostrum every fortnight, typically selling more than 1,400 lots per auction.
When the opportunity arose to join The Travelling Auctioneers, JB described it as an "easy decision". "The chance to travel and meet incredible people while uncovering the stories behind their cherished possessions is something truly magical," he said.
"I'm particularly looking forward to the excitement of the auctions themselves there's nothing quite like the anticipation of finding out which items resonate most with buyers.". The TV auctioneer is in a long-term relationship with Emma Pawsey, although not much is known about her or how they met.
