AC/DC fans have demanded that Ticketmaster should be 'shut down' after they struggled to get on the site to secure tickets for their upcoming tour. Earlier this week, the legendary rock band announced an incredible European Tour named Power Up. They will kick off the tour in Prague on June 26, 2025, before heading to Berlin, Warsaw and several other major cities. However, they will only be playing in the UK for just one night. AC/DC will be performing in Edinburgh on August 21, 2025, at Murrayfield Stadium.

Excited fans shared their excitement for the tour earlier this week, but it appears that things have taken a turn for a lot of them this morning when trying to secure tickets on Ticketmaster. Dozens of music lovers have been left disheartened after the ticket site reportedly 'crashed' as they went on sale at 10am on Friday. Taking to X, several AC/DC fans shared their anger as they called for Ticketmaster to be 'shut down' once and for all. One fumed: "Here you are in line for AC DC at Ullevi. 22316 before at 10.00 When you got down to 4911 you were kicked out and had to start over with 23000 before. What the hell kind of f**king system do you have? You can shut down your f**king business because you never learn. Hell, sitting in a 30-minute queue and getting kicked out. Yes, I'm so pi**ed off. #Ticketmaster.".

Another echoed: "Would've been nice, but Ticketmaster has ruined any plans I had. Why do I need a verification code sent to a phone number I don't have anymore just so I can *change my phone number* on the app? Like I just wanted to change my number for the hell of it.". "I don't understand why people still bother with Ticketmaster. It's the same thing every single time. You'd think for such a huge business they would sort out their f***ing website. It's a joke and I've been let down too many times now," someone else added.

Ticketmaster are yet to address fan complaints but advertised the release of the tickets on their Twitter page. A post from the ticket retailer read: "TICKETS ON SALE NOW Rock'n'roll hall of famers AC/DC bring their POWER UP tour to Edinburgh's Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on 21 August 2025.". AC/DC will play 12 dates across 10 countries before concluding their tour at Murrayfield stadium in Edinburgh on 21 August. Formed in Australia in 1973, the band have a loyal Scottish fanbase through Scottish-born members Bon Scott and Angus and Malcolm Young. Fans last saw the band on Scottish soil in 2015 at Hampden Stadium but the group continue to be celebrated annually at BonFest in Kirriemuir.
