Tim Tszyu is set to step back into the ring as he attempts to bounce back to winning ways. But Tszyu's career is firmly in the spotlight, with the 30-year-old Australian having lost both of his previous fights. According to The Daily Telegraph, Tszyu has 'agreed terms' to fight American star Joey Spencer in April. It is understood an official announcement will be made in the coming weeks. Some speculation is revolving around where the fight will take place, with some reports claiming that the pair could meet either in Las Vegas or Australia. While it was thought that Tszyu would take a domestic fight in a bid to get back to winning ways, the Aussie told his management that he did not want an 'easy fight', according to The Daily Telegraph.

He had been billed to take on rival Michael Zerafa and the pair had previously been close to agreeing a deal to fight. Tszyu now wants to bounce back from his defeats by Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev. Tim Tszyu is set to step back into the ring and is reportedly set to take on Joey Spencer. Tszyu had suffered a brutal cut to his eye during his fight against Fundora with the match turning into a bloodbath before the Australian would suffer defeat via a split decision. He would later fight Burtazaliev for the IBF World Super Welterweight title, but his team were forced to throw in the towel after Tszyu was knocked down four times during the fight. Spencer, meanwhile, has a record of 19 wins and one defeat and will present a big challenge to the Australian.

It is a dangerous fight for Tszyu, with the 24-year-old's only defeat coming in 2023 to Jesus Alejandro Ramos Jr. He has since fought three times, beating Miguel Angel Hernandez most recently in December. Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, No Limit's George Rose did not speak out on the negotiations over the fight but said that Tszyu's comeback was coming imminently and that the Australian could get back to his best form.

'I still think he is the best in his division,' Rose said. He had an off night against Murtazaliev but he will make statements again and step his way back to where he belongs, which is at the top of the tree with belts around his waist. 'The key for Tim is getting back in the winner's circle. That’s the first step. 'He got married recently which was a great way to end what was a tough year in the ring. 'He is rolling into 2025 hungry and that is exciting for Australian boxing. 'We are getting him back in the ring, back on show, and reminding people how good he is.'. Tszyu recently married his partner Alexandra Constantine in an impromptu ceremony in front of 120 guests.

Tszyu had been dejected in the immediate aftermath of his loss to Murtazaliev but is out to hit back with a victory which could open up a world title shot. 'I’ve got redemption on my mind. The way I do things next will be approached differently,” he said. 'I was a bit reckless (against Murtazaliev). Boxing gives you a lesson that you have to take things a little bit slower. 'I don’t want tune-up fights. I am still chasing the stars and to do that I have to go up against the top stars.'.
