TOM Holland dropped a major hint that he was set to propose to Zendaya a month ago. The A-list pair reportedly got engaged between Christmas and New Year's in one of Zendaya's family homes in the US. Tom popped the question in a romantic and intimate setting, sources told TMZ.

The outlet reported the moment was just between the two stars, with no family around to see. The English actor reportedly asked Zendaya's dad, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, for his blessing months before the proposal but waited until the time was right to get down on one knee.

Tom appeared on Nick Grimshaw's Dish Podcast last month as he revealed that he was spending Christmas with Zendaya's family. He then shared that he'd planned a surprise trip somewhere "secret" for them. Tom told Nick: "I'm going to be in America this year, I'm going to be with my girlfriend's family, which will be fun.

"Where we'll be will be a secret. I'll know where we're going.". Tom also said he wanted start a new tradition to bring his and Zendaya's families together at Christmas going forward. "This year will be great," Tom went on to say. Nick asked if there was a hard and fast rule with how they decide which family to spend Christmas with.
