Top jockey’s ‘pretty ironic’ reunion with horse who bit off his finger on injury return A top jockey is set to have an unlikely reunion with the horse who bit part of his finger off.

Prince Of Boom tore off the tip of Orman’s finger in the incident which also left the jockey with a distal phalanx fracture, a break in the finger bone.

"It's pretty ironic, I will be riding Prince Of Boom in the Snippets on Saturday, it'd be a pretty funny story if he was to win," Orman told Racenet.com .

He was removing a tongue tie from the horse he was riding, Prince Of Boom, when the Rob Heathcote-trained gelding bit his right index finger.

Nevertheless Orman has received medical clearance to return to race riding in time for the lucrative Magic Millions meeting at Gold Coast in Queensland.
