Tottenham have stepped into hijack Wolves' move for Lens centre-back Kevin Danso. The 26-year-old had been lined up for a medical at Wolves on Sunday after they agreed a loan move with option to buy but Tottenham have persuaded him to join them instead. His representatives informed Wolves tonight of his decision and that he would not be proceeding with medical planned there. Danso will join Spurs in a permanent £20.5million deal and he has agreed a five-and-a-half-year contract.
The Austrian international was previously on Reading and MK Dons' youth ranks before joining Augsburg in 2014. He also spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Southampton where he made just six Premier League appearances. Tottenham have stepped into hijack Wolves' move for Lens centre-back Kevin Danso. Danso's was set to undergo a medical at Wolves on Sunday but he will now join Spurs instead. Ange Posotochlou side have been in the market for at least one centre back after Radu Dragusin suffered a serious knee injury in midweek.
