DONALD Trump has revealed further details of his shocking scheme to turn Gaza into the "Riviera of the Middle East.". The US President doubled down on his plan to reconstruct the enclave - which would start with the Israelis handing it over to the US. Don's controversial "Make Gaza Great Again" sees the relocation of two million Palestinians in neighbouring countries such as Egypt and Jordan. The next step would be the restructure of Gaza in a bid to turn it into the "most spectacular development on Earth.".

Posting on Truth Social, Trump said: "The Gaza Strip would be turned over to the United States by Israel at the conclusion of fighting. "The Palestinians, people like Chuck Schumer, would have already been resettled in far safer and more beautiful communities, with new and modern homes, in the region. "They would actually have a chance to be happy, safe, and free. ". Even though he previously did not rule out the possibility of US troops entering Gaza, he stressed "no soldiers by the US would be needed.".

He added: "The U.S., working with great development teams from all over the World, would slowly and carefully begin the construction of what would become one of the greatest and most spectacular developments of its kind on Earth. "No soldiers by the U.S. would be needed! Stability for the region would reign!!!". It comes as earlier today, a day after Trump's proposition, Israel said the IDF has already begun preparing plans to resettle Palestinians.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said: "I have instructed the (army) to prepare a plan that would allow any Gaza resident who wishes to leave to do so, to any country willing to accept them. "The plan will include exit options through land crossings, as well as special arrangements for departure by sea and air. "I welcome President Trump's bold plan, Gaza residents should be allowed the freedom to leave and emigrate, as is the norm around the world.".

Speaking about potential countries Palestinians could be moved to, he replied: "Countries like Spain, Ireland, Norway and others, which have levelled accusations and false claims against Israel over its actions in Gaza, are legally obligated to allow any Gaza resident to enter their territories.". Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares rejected Katz's suggestion that Spain should accept displaced Palestinians.

He said during an interview with radio station RNE: "Gazans' land is Gaza and Gaza must be part of the future Palestinian state. Trump left the world stunned when he announced his proposal to take over Gaza. The president described Gaza as a "demolition site" and vowed he would turn it into "something the entire Middle East can be very proud of.". Don said: "The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it too...we're going to develop it, create thousands and thousands of jobs, and it'll be something that the entire Middle East can be very proud of.".

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu praised Trump for "thinking outside the box with fresh ideas.". Experts told The Sun the scheme could take years to complete and would cost billions and billions of dollars. The jaw-dropping scheme has sparked condemnation as it would see residents forced out of the enclave. British Army Colonel Richard Kemp told The Sun: "To turn it into a place people can live again it’s going to take probably at least a decade.
