A PAIR of twins made a three hour pilgrimage to pay tribute to missing sisters Eliza and Henrietta Huszti. Frances and Johanne Harper, 55, felt an immediate connection with the girls as soon as they heard about the case. And the pair caught the bus from their home in Keith, Moray, to lay flowers at the spot where the sisters were last seen in Aberdeen.

Johanne said: “People think you’re weird because you’re a twin. “The kinder you are the worse it is. And they looked like they were kind and gentle souls. “We think we know how they felt. It was really important that we came and paid tribute to them because it’s just so sad.”.

Frances and Johanne told how their lives have been tough because they are twins. The pair said they have had to spend thousands over the years moving to various towns and cities because they’ve been singled out and bullied. They trekked to the River Dee in the Torry area, where Eliza and Henrietta were captured on CCTV in the early hours of last Tuesday.

The pair visited a nearby pub to gather their thoughts before they laid a floral tribute at the riverside, along with a card. Frances said: “We’ve not really been able to stop thinking about them. We’ve not slept since we first heard about them. “The thing I feel sad about is that last CCTV of them leaving their flat together and coming here.”.
