Tyson Fury has become one the wealthiest athletes in the world after a number of blockbuster fights that has brought in millions for the boxer, nicknamed 'The Gypsy King'. The two-time heavyweight champion, has been married to wife Paris for past 16 years and they have seven children together, but the boxer has said he doesn't plan on leaving any of his huge fortune to his offspring.
Tyson is set to add another multi-million sum to his bank account as he fights Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night again in Riyadh, after raking in £80 million from their first fight in May. Forbes has placed Fury in the Top 50 with his global earnings for 2024.
Outside the ring, Fury has also earned a further £6 million from endorsements and a Netflix series about his home-life. Tyson and Paris' children, Venezuela, Prince John James, Prince Tyson II, Valencia, Prince Adonis, Athena, and Prince Rico Paris, are not expected to inherit the vast fortune, as Tyson wants them to stand on their own two feet.
Speaking about the potential inheritance, Tyson has said: "I want my kids to get their own money, do their own things and be their own people. I don't believe in just giving all your money to your kids but it will make them weak, spoiled and not value anything, worthless. They'll end up getting to 35 and never having done anything for themselves, apart from spending dad's money.".
The champion boxer added: "They'll be middle-aged looking in the mirror and being disappointed. If I buy my son a Lamborghini as soon as he passes his test, he'll probably kill himself in it. But he also wouldn't appreciate it. But if he works hard and gets himself a 2004 Corsa, he will be outside washing the c*** out every day, hoovering it top to bottom. And I will be proud of him because he has done it himself.".
