Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk made their public Grand Arrival in Saudi Arabia by bouncing down the steps of one of the decommissioned jetliners in a new family attraction called The Runway. Both have made more than enough millions here to come in private jets but landing in a corner of a theme park would have been even trickier than the problems they will pose each other in their world heavyweight championship rematch on Saturday night.
Both the Gypsy King and the Kyiv Cat claim they learned enough over 12 close rounds in May to prevail in the second edition of their rivalry. Usyk to remain the undefeated ruler of boxing's marquee division. Fury to avenge his solitary defeat and set up a decisive and yet more enriching trilogy fight in this Kingdom next year.
Asked what will be different from effectively the 13th round Fury said; 'I'm going to knock him out as promised.'. Tyson Fury walked down the new family attraction 'The Runway' in Riyadh on Tuesday. Oleksandr Usyk followed Fury down the sepctacular aisle in a purple suit with a white sash.
The pair will reignite their rivalry on Saturday night after Usyk won the first bout back in May. Usyk, spruce in a tailored purple suit with a dramatic white sash, responded; 'it's in God's hands. But I think I win again.'. Precious few fans of either fighter were in a smattering of a crowd. We shall see if many more make the trek from both sides of Europe later in this Christmas week.
