Summary at a Glance

These are Ecotricity's Smart 1-Year Fixed Green Tariff (saves an average of 6.8 per cent compared to today's price cap) and Outfox the Market's Fixed Dual Tariff (saves an average of 6.6 per cent).

The current price cap means the average dual fuel household paying by direct debit will see an annual bill of £1,738, a £21 increase from the price cap before.

"[They're] both on average over six per cent cheaper than the current Cap (so 12 per cent over likely Apr cap)," Martin added.

"The reason they're not shown on other comparison sites is [because] one, its mainly only available direct (or MSE), the other because it doesn't pay comparison sites and most sites hide by default those that don't pay them (you have to click a button to add them in).

While Ofgem's next energy price cap won't come into effect until April 1, it is likely to be announced on Tuesday, February 25.
