Urgent warning to all Windows 10 users, check your PC and 'upgrade immediately'

There's a massive year ahead for those still using Windows 10. This ageing operating system is being sent to the history books with all free support ending in October. That means those with this software installed on their PCs will become more vulnerable to cyber attacks and laptop-breaking bugs.
With Windows 10 support shutting down in less than 10 months, Microsoft is now on a mission to get users to switch to Windows 11. In fact, the Redmond firm's latest alert is telling millions to "upgrade immediately". In a recent post on its website, Microsoft's Margaret Farmer said: "Well, it is official. Window 10 is being retired after October 14th, 2025 and will no longer be supported.
"Your computer will still work. However, with security threats on the rise, it is imperative you upgrade, immediately.". With that in mind, now is probably a good time to check your device and see if it's compatible with Windows 11 and can get this upgrade for free - something Microsoft is offering for a limited time.
If your laptop isn't powerful enough for Windows 11 you have three options. Firstly, you can head to your local tech store and buy a new Windows 11-powered machine. Don't want a new PC? The next option is to enroll in the Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) Programme which will launch later this year.
