Janet released her own statements where she tried to steer the blame away from MTV and all the corporations involved in the Super Bowl and that 'it was not my intention that it went as far as it did,' along with a followup video.
The incident saw Janet perform with Justin Timberlake who ripped off a piece of Jackson's top and exposed her bare breast to millions of viewers, causing great controversy at the time.
