Ryanair scraps all services to European city leaving no direct UK routes Ryanair has confirmed that all flights to a European city are being cancelled.

Recently, the airline has also slammed Spain's aviation sector and pulled routes from key regional airports, which meant removing around 800,000 passenger seats in 2025 over "excessive fees".

Recently, the airline gave the Minister of Transport a dilemma, saying in a statement: "Minister Puente has two options: he can continue to support AENA’s failed regional airports policy or he can demand a growth plan from AENA that will attract airlines.

A Ryanair spokesperson said: "We are very disappointed to announce the closure of our two aircraft Billund base and our operations at Aalborg from the end of March, but we have been left with no other choice following the Danish Govt’s short-sighted decision to introduce a harmful aviation tax from Jan 2025.".

Officials have snapped back saying that the move by the airline was "blackmail", however Ryanair then called on the country's airport operator, AENA, to sell off some of its underperforming regional hubs.
