We're cleaning experts - here's our easy method for decluttering every room in your house (and why you shouldn't buy storage)

After starting January with the best intentions, many people may be struggling to keep resolution of maintaining a clutter-free home in 2025. Needless to say, living at the same address over decades can cause you to get overly comfortable and start hoarding objects you don't need.
These trinkets soon build up and before you know it, you're living in a property you no longer recognise and have no idea how to fix it. Now, experts Ingrid Jansen, 51, from London, and Lesley Spellman, 56, from Manchester, who run cleaning courses on the The Declutter Hub, have revealed their tips on how to keep your space tidy.
Speaking to FEMAIL, they explained: 'Decluttering can be a tough job for many of us but don't become demotivated by making the same mistakes over and over. 'Thinking about the basic dos and don'ts will help you get started and make the progress you need to keep that momentum strong.'.
Here, the pair, who have recently penned a book called Reset Your Home: Unpack Your Emotions and Your Clutter, Step by Step, have divulged some of their key organisation dos and don'ts. Ingrid Jansen and Lesley Spellman (both pictured) have revealed their tips on how to keep your space tidy.
Ingrid and Lesley say that the most important point when to comes to decluttering the kitchen is to have a system that works for you. The duo say that if cooking is not one of your passions and hobbies, then try to downscale the amount of gadgets that can easily fill your kitchen.
