West Ham 0-5 Liverpool: Liverpool closed out 2024 with an impressive victory at the London Stadium. Arne Slot's side wasted little time seizing the initiative at the London Stadium, with Alphonse Areola forced into making several saves early on. The visitors continued to fashion an opening however, and their persistence paid off when Luis Diaz opened the scoring on 30 minutes.
After breaking the deadlock Liverpool continued to pile on the pressure, and the scoreline had widened to 3-0 before half-time thanks to goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah. Trent Alexander-Arnold made it four after his deflected effort from the edge of the box wrongfooted Areola, before substitute Diogo Jota added a fifth in the closing stages.
