Sir Elton's headline set at Glastonbury in 2023 was his last UK performance as part of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which ended with an emotionally charged show in Stockholm, Sweden.

Despite this, Sir Elton experienced self-doubt when he tried to develop his next album and he considered his time in music - which started professionally in 1962 - had come to an abrupt end.
I was not in a good space when I went in [to the studio for this album] I was tired, I was grumpy and I was very nervous because I had a visual of how I wanted this album to be… but all the problems I had to start with were my self-doubt," the superstar said last night.
