Which Labour councillors have resigned over Sir Keir Starmer's leadership and why?

More than 20 Labour councillors have resigned, citing concerns over Sir Keir Starmer’s leadership. Most of the group sit on Broxtowe Borough Council in Nottinghamshire and the decision was announced on X by an account operating with the handle @BroxtoweLabour. The page has since been rebranded as Broxtowe Independents.
The X post states 20 of Broxtowe’s 24 Labour councillors have left the party to form an independent group. They will all continue in their roles and, as there are 20 people in the Broxtowe Independent Group, they are now the council’s leading party – not Labour. A county councillor, named by local media as John McGrath, is among those who have quit.

“From the cutting of the winter fuel allowance for 11 million pensioners, to the retention of the two-child benefit cap for struggling families, the increase in bus fares across our towns and cities, the betrayal of Waspi women pensioners to a tepid response to the genocide in Gaza, we say this is not the Labour Party we campaigned for.
