Love Island will soon have a new face in the villa, ready to turn heads. Montel McKenzie will join Harriett Blackmore as the latest bombshells to shake things up, and he's ready to make his mark. The 27-year-old from East London is entering the villa to find his dream woman, and he’s already got his sights set on some of the ladies, especially Catherine Agbaje.
With confidence and charm in spades, Montel isn’t afraid to step on a few toes to pursue what he wants. Montel is an East Londoner who balances a busy life between work and sports. When he’s not working as an account manager, he’s on the pitch playing as a defender for Hemel Hempstead Town. His Instagram feed, @montelmckenzie, is filled with football snaps, showing just how much he loves the game.
Despite his packed schedule, Montel hasn’t found the right person to settle down with, admitting, “I just haven’t found someone I want to date. I’m always so busy with work and football!”. Known for being cool and calm, Montel is no stranger to attention but confessed he’s not used to doing the chasing. “I’m used to people coming up to me — I’m lucky, I guess!” he said. However, during his time in the 2023 series of the show Montel was ready to shake things up and wasn't worried about stepping on toes to pursue Ella Thomas, even though she was coupled up with Tyrique Hyde.
“I’ll definitely speak to Ella despite her being coupled up,” Montel said confidently at the time. Before entering the villa in 2023, Montel shared a piece of advice he received from his family and friends: keep it classy. He joked, “I’m definitely not going to have sex on TV, well, I said I would try my best!”.
