Now in its fourteenth year, Wilderness has a reputation for progressive fun, meaning not just music but arts, Michelin-starred chefs, zen masterclasses and all manner of weirdness, some of it clothed. Yet, while it’s far from just a music festival, the just-announced line-up has some brilliant music names.

Mercury-nominated Britpop survivors and all-round geniuses Supergrass will be topping the bill, which guarantees a crowd-pleasing experience for the, er, crowd. They will be joined by rave pioneers Orbital and legendary French pop duo Air. Wet Leg are stopping by, with the indie rockers already Brit Award winners and festival stalwarts after just a couple of years. Basement Jaxx are also appearing as is the immensely popular Norwegian singer Aurora.

Personal favourites The Bootleg Beatles are also stopping by in a bill that covers a lot of bases. And in fact there are multiple venues across the site - include a new one called The Dive, dedicated to scuzzy new indie fare - giving a huge choice of music to choose from.

Outside of music, talks and arts include an erotic writing club in The House of Sublime venue, and mass participation madnesses like The Great Big Festival Football Match and The Naked Pop Inquisition. Wilderness has a lakeside restaurant called The Chef’s Table, which this year will feature Andy Beynon, who made his mark on the UK's culinary map when he landed his first Michelin star just twenty days after opening his debut restaurant Behind, as well as Anna Haugh, an Irish chef and founder of her own Chelsea restaurant Myrtle, and Josh Overington, who launched York restaurant Le Cochon Aveugle as his first venture - which made it into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 in 2019. Last year he was awarded a Michelin-star for his Yorkshire-based fine dining restaurant Mýse.
