Parklife festival-goers are split over this year's line-up, with the event set to rock Manchester's Heaton Park in June. While some fans are buzzing about the headliners announced for the summer event, others feel there's a glaring gap and reckon the festival this year is best suited to "TikTok ravers.".
The line-up features Brat hit-maker Charli XCX, who took the UK by storm last summer, alongside 50 Cent, and Jorja Smith topping the bill for the June 14 and June 15 gigs. Parklife Festival will also feature acts like Lola Young, Confidence Man, and Rudimental.
But not everyone's thrilled with the choices, pointing out that it seems tailored for a younger crowd with artists popularised on TikTok making up much of the bill. Some attendees are hyped for Young, calling her the "standout" act, while others are left guessing if a certain band might make a surprise appearance.
One fan raised eyebrows over 50 Cent's headline spot, questioning his current pull in the UK, with their comment reading: "50 Cent headlining in the year 2025 is CRAZY." Another added: "50 got UK clout like that?". The line-up for the upcoming festival has left some fans disappointed, with many expressing their desire for The 1975 to make an appearance. One fan responded to the announcement by reminiscing about the band's performance at Parklife two years ago, sharing a photo of that year's line-up which included Fred Again, The Prodigy and Little Simz alongside the Matty Healy-led group.
Other fans echoed this sentiment, with one stating: "A certain band is missing I can't take this anymore." Another was more critical of the festival, comparing it to "ravers" and calling it a "let down". They commented: "The parklife line up has proper been made for TikTok ravers hahahhaha womp let down womp.".
