A WOMAN has been killed in an "altercation" at home, with a second victim also injured - as cops hunt for a man "who fled on an e-scooter". Cops rushed to the scene in Luton on Monday morning, with the 46-year-old woman later pronounced dead at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.
A second woman, in her 20s, was also injured during the "horrendous incident" - which Bedfordshire Police believe was targeted. The force is now searching for a man who left the scene on a black and red scooter. The vehicle has since been recovered by the force.
The man is described as white, in his 20s and between 5ft 9in and 5ft 10in in height. He has a very slim build, with a shaved head, and was wearing all-black clothing with a hood, the force said. Det Insp Adam Bridges, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: "This horrendous incident, which is believed to be targeted, has sadly resulted in one woman losing her life and another sustaining serious injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
"It is absolutely imperative that we locate the person responsible as soon as possible, and as such we have specialist teams and resources dedicated to this search. "We have also increased our police presence at the property and surrounding area as part of our investigation and to help with public reassurance.".
