Woman horrified by 'manky' secret Santa gift she received at work - as people blast her 'really nasty' colleague

A woman has revealed she was 'totally baffled and disgusted' by a secret Santa gift she received from a colleague. Taking to British parenting platform Mumsnet, the woman explained that she received a gift bag full of 'worn socks', 'manky nail varnish' and out of date chocolate.
The woman fumed that she was 'extremely confused' and 'disappointed in the bizarre Christmas present. Many rushed to the comments with their own theories as to what happened, with some claiming her colleague might have been strapped for cash this year.
However, others were 'disgusted' on her behalf saying her co-worker was probably being a 'Scrooge' on purpose. The post read: 'Got my secret Santa today from work and tbh I'm disgusted by it. 'There's chocolate from 2020, a bunch of manky old nail varnish, socks that look like they've been worn and some Tassimo pods. It all smells vaguely like charity shop and tbh it's all going to go in the bin.

'The nail varnish doesn't look bad in packs, but the lids were covered in dust and felt dirty. There's also nail varnish all over the outer bottles. A woman revealed on Mumsnet that she was 'totally baffled and disgusted' by her Secret Santa gift which she received from a colleague (stock image).
'I'm really disappointed by it and tbh extremely confused!. She continued: 'Socks which stink of stale perfume and are falling to bits. 'To be clear, I wasn't expecting anything extravagant! I'd have preferred a £5 set of smellies than this!'. Taking to the comments the woman later added: 'It gets better - there's balms in the bottom have clearly been used because it's full of fingerprints.'.
